The fitness industry is full of bluster and posturing — “no excuses,” “obsessed is how the lazy describe the dedicated,” and so on — but Kimberly Snyder offers a nice twist on that often mean-spirited attitude: “No Excuse Not to Try,” and a series of simple yoga poses that pretty much anyone can do. Snyder also remarks on the health benefits of yoga — which are available with many forms of exercise. One thing I like about yoga in particular is that it is a kind of inventory in motion, a chance to slow down, listen to your body, and see how it’s feeling. Do you need a little tender loving care?
