Here is a fun little tool from the UK’s National Health Service. It says “Olympic sport” in the title (I think it was developed as part of London 2012), but it’s really about exercise more generally.
This tool asks you some questions about your interests and invites you to do a couple of skills tests (to test reaction time and coordination), and then it asks some personality questions. After it gives you your results, you can choose a “Getting Started” link to learn more about which sports it recommends for you and get “mini guides” that talk about them. (If you live in the UK, you can get information about nearby places to participate.)
It’s not all about gym or team sports, either — it may suggest precision sports like golf and archery. If you indicate that you are not active now, it adds additional questions about your interests and concerns.
Give it a try! You can select “refresh” to start over, too.
